Refunds, deposits, and sittings that do not happen

This note covers money paid to Portal Layergrid Analytics for engagement studies, chart commissions, repeat reviews, and chart-reading sessions. We do not sell shipped goods, monthly seats, or gift cards, so those cases do not appear here.

Eligibility

A refund is available when we have not yet opened the observation window, started inking plates, or reserved a sitting that you then missed under the no-show rule below. After work has started, a partial refund may still apply as described.

Timeframe

Ask in writing (info@portal-layergrid.digital or a letter to Level 9, 51 Rustaveli Avenue, Kutaisi 4600) within fourteen days of the event you want refunded: a cancellation, a sitting you could not attend, or a ledger you believe was not delivered as quoted. We will answer within ten working days.

Full refund

You receive the deposit and any later payment back if:

• we cancel the study for a reason on our side (illness at the desk, a hall permit refused after we said the floor week was certain)
• you cancel in writing before the observation window opens and before any plate is inked, and at least seven days before a reserved chart-reading sitting

Partial refund

If you cancel after the window has opened or after plates are in ink, we keep the deposit (one third) for time already spent, and we return any later instalment not yet earned. If commentary is drafted but not yet bound, we may finish a thinner folio of the plates already drawn and charge only for that thinner folio, if you prefer that to a partial return.

For a chart commission, plates not yet drawn are not charged. Plates already drawn are charged at the per-plate rate.

Non-refundable items

• extra bound copies already printed
• travel costs already laid out for a counter outside Kutaisi, if those were listed on the quote and spent
• a chart-reading sitting cancelled with less than two working days’ notice, or a sitting where no one from your side arrives (a no-show)

Deposits

A deposit of one third holds an observation window or a sitting. It is applied to the final fee. It is returned in the full-refund cases above. It is kept when cancellation is late or when work has started, as a payment for time, not as a penalty dressed as something else.

Cancellation and rescheduling

You may move an observation window once, to another week within three months, without extra fee, if you write at least seven days before the old week. A second move is quoted. Chart-reading sittings may be moved once if you write at least two working days ahead.

No-shows

If nobody from your side arrives for a reserved sitting, the 220 GEL (or the hours booked) is not returned. You may book a new sitting at the ordinary rate.

Work already started

Once Giorgi is on the floor, or Nino has inked a plate, the study has started. We will not pretend otherwise. You still receive whatever plates exist if you want them; we will not destroy work you have paid for unless you ask us to, in writing, for confidentiality.

Purchased materials

Board, thread, and paper for the small committee run of an audit are included. Extra copies already printed are not refundable. We do not buy third-party software licences on your behalf.

How refunds are paid

Refunds go back by the same method you used to pay, where the bank allows it, within fifteen working days after we agree the amount. We do not refund onto this website. For bank transfers inside Georgia, we will ask for the account you want credited.

Exceptions that do not apply here (downloadable products, food, event tickets sold to the public) are omitted on purpose.
